Community Auto volunteer responsibilities:
■Data entry, which includes entering vehicle, donor and client information into database
■Phone call follow ups with clients and donors
■Perform clerical duties as assigned including but not limited to: filing, answering phones, donor research and preparing mailing
■Other duties as assigned

Car Care Workshop instructors
■Instruct a class that gives clients the basics of car ownership

Community Auto needs volunteers during these times:
■Tuesday (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.)
■Wednesday (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.)
■Thursday (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.)
■Friday (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
■The second Saturday of every month (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.)

COMMUNITY AUTO HELPS 49 LOW-INCOME WORKING FAMILIES
During the 2011-2012 fiscal year, North Hills Community Outreach’s Community Auto program put 49 low-income families on the road to success
This year, Community Auto hopes to put 80 more families and individuals in “new to them” vehicles.

This is the most vehicles sold in two months since the program’s inception in 2003 and Community Auto hopes to put 35 more families and individuals into “new to them” vehicles by October.

Community Auto is a unique program in Allegheny County. The program makes vehicle ownership affordable to families experiencing economic hardship, so they have a reliable means of transportation for getting to work and to meet other family transportation needs.
